Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order endorsing the initiative, according to official statements.
The roadmap outlines measures to support the growth of high-performance computing systems, artificial intelligence algorithms, grid technologies, and supercomputer facilities over the coming years. It also sets standards for shared supercomputer centers and defines procedures to grant researchers and key industrial organizations access to these resources.
The plan includes strategies for the further development and modernization of these facilities and the next-generation National Research Computer Network, which currently links hundreds of universities and scientific institutions across Russia and provides access to existing supercomputer centers. The expansion is intended to facilitate research that requires processing and transmitting large volumes of data.
